Bio
Caracas; hours watching the city during traffic jams. My practice is a testimony of migration, growing up in Venezuela built my vision of the world.
During Dieulefit's training in 2022, I was influenced by Anne Verdier's look at the material as well as the attention to color and the playful creative protocol of Marianne Castelly.
The ingenuity of Venezuelans inspires me, those who patch up their homes with what they can. It's “resourceful glamor.” This resilience, often humorous, shapes my architectural sculptures and flat walls made of improvised assemblies: volumes brought together through a miraculous balance.
Winner of the silver prize in 2023: young European ceramic artist in Saint-Quentin-la-Poterie. I have exhibited in galleries such as Nendo Galerie in Marseille or at Volume Céramic in Paris. I participated in events such as Art-o-rama in Marseille part of Moly Sabata, at the Salon de Céramic 14 in Paris and at the Galerie du 19M Marseille and Dakar.
Residency project
My intention at Rocabella is to conduct research to make ceramics interact with other practices and materials, placing recycling at the heart of my approach and while seeking to find more freedom in the marriage of these different disciplines.
