Aïda N'Diaye

Bio

Aïda N'Diaye is a graduate of normal school and has an associate degree in philosophy. She teaches philosophy in high school and focuses on making thought accessible, lively and rooted in contemporary issues.

Author of several books, she published in 2012 Is all truth good to tell? (L'Opportuné), and in 2022, two essays for young people at Gallimard: What is it that makes me gender? and Do I really deserve it?, who question major philosophical debates with clarity and finesse in the light of personal experiences.

A regular contributor to Philosophie Magazine and Jeune Afrique, she also works in radio media: a columnist on France Inter, she is also a producer of podcasts and programs for France Culture, in particular With philosophy and To be right with....

Committed to the dissemination of philosophy in the public space, Aïda N'Diaye defends a thought that is both rigorous, critical and deeply connected to the contemporary world.

Residency project

As part of the philosophy residency on the theme “The quest for meaning”, Aïda N'Diaye will support participants in a collective and creative reflection on how to make philosophy resonate in the public space. Her project aims to decompartmentalize thought, to explore new formats of transmission, and to equip teachers so that they themselves become actors in an accessible, living and committed philosophical renewal.

Through writing, voicing and narration workshops, Aïda will propose to question contemporary narratives around meaning, value, identity or even merit, in connection with her own work. She will also share her experience in radio, publishing and popularization, to inspire new formats of reflection. A residence to philosophize differently, between intellectual requirement and pedagogical creativity.
