Thomas Levy
Bio
Thomas Lévy has been practicing the visual arts since a young age. He structures all of his work around the fleeting moments of life. These snapshots build his creative universe. Thomas Lévy has always had the ambition to put sculpture at the service of his creativity. This is what he does in the Beaux-Arts workshops of the City of Paris and in his Parisian workshop. There we find the tension of the curves, the naturalness of the shapes, the volumes which seem to respond to each other. The graphics of his paintings find a new dimension in his sculptures. The monochromy of the object gives way to the play of volumes and shadows, a logical translation of its universe. Sculpture is a step in his artistic journey and Thomas Lévy devotes himself to it full time. Alongside his artistic practice, Thomas Lévy's professional background has led him throughout his career to lead multicultural organizations in the luxury sector. He will put all of his skills at the service of the sculpture residency and its participants.
Residency project
Thomas will be the lead artist for the sculpture residency on the theme “Seaside, Landside”.
He will coordinate the interventions of the guest experts throughout the stay.
