Robin Larroque

Bio

Robin Is a actor and director whose career oscillates between acting and directing, always guided by a fascination for nature and human relationships. Coming from a family of winemakers, he still remembers his childhood a sensitive look at those who shape their environment, a common thread that runs through his cinematographic approach.

After studying mounting and several experiences in production assistance, he settles in london, where it becomes Manager for Partisan and freelance editor. His return to France, marked by the Covid-19 epidemic, also marks his transition to directing with his first fictional short film, Deviantes, followed by the feature-length documentary Unthreadings, co-directed with Louie C. Evans-Kelly and produced by Clash Entertainment Ltd. This documentary explores the collaboration of young designers from diverse cultures in the creation of a capsule collection designed for a specific disability.

At the same time, Robin continued his acting career, acting in several short and feature films before joining the Conservatory of the 20th arrondissement of Paris, where it is formed at theater, singing and contemporary dance. Passionate about film broadcasting, he is also Projectionist in several cinemas in Seine-Saint-Denis, thus cultivating a deep relationship with the image, both in front of, behind and next to the screen.

Residency project

With its numerous experiences in the tourism sector, Robin addresses the issue of sustainable tourism Under a prism humanistic and emotional. While ecology is at the heart of concerns, he defends the idea that sustainability cannot exist without a viable and ethical business model, which values those who bring hospitality to life on a daily basis.

Through this residence, he wants Giving a voice to those first concerned : employees, artisans, inhabitants, all those who, through their work and commitment, shape another way of traveling. Instead of explaining, he prefers to suggest, giving viewers the freedom to feel and reflect.

Thanks to his experience of the stage and collective creations, he will put on his adaptability and its sense of group at the service of the project. La Var coast, through its history and its landscapes, immediately evokes to him the Ancient myths of the Mediterranean. He sees in these ancestral stories a powerful mirror to question the mass tourism and its effects, by inviting us to take a distant and symbolic look at our relationship with travel.

Through this documentary, Robin hopes Building a link between past and present, between fantasy and reality, for Better think about the future of tourism.
