Residency project
For the Rocabella 2025 residence, Pierre-Alexandre Savriacouty wishes to explore the boundaries between aquatic and telluric materials, drawing inspiration from the remains revealed by the major droughts of the 21st century. Her project revolves around the creation of ceramic sound amphorae, a new direction in her artistic practice. These works, inspired by underwater songs and ancient artifacts, will act as contemporary resonance boxes, symbolizing the sound memory of the waters.
By combining ancestral myths and echoes of our time, these amphorae will tell poetic stories related to climate change. The coastal and land landscapes surrounding Rocabella will nourish his research, rooted in the transformation of materials and narratives. This project aims to create a sound and visual map where past, present and future come together in a sensitive reflection on the relationships between water, land and collective memory.
