Matthieu Bellini

Bio

Matthieu Bellini is a journalist based in Paris, specializing ininvestigation and reporting. His work led him to investigate for Cash Investigation and Survey Supplement, contributing to several documentaries broadcast on France 2. One of them, dedicated to communication and propaganda strategies in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, was awarded at the Monte Carlo Festival.

Before turning to television investigation, Matthieu collaborated with West-France, France Culture and France Inter, where he developed a listening and immersive journalism, giving priority to Encounter and empathy to question contemporary issues and give a voice to actors in the field.

Graduated in political science, it takes an approach social and analytical to decipher the major issues of our time and make them accessible to as many people as possible. Through his investigations, he seeks to highlight blind spots in public debate and to propose stories that combine journalistic rigor and humanity.

Residency project

As part of this residency, Matthieu Bellini wants to bring a look that combines sensitivity and critical rigor, by refocusing its exploration on Humans and their relationship to the environment.

Her approach is based on a fundamental question: how to make sustainable tourism really accessible to all? Too often perceived as a privilege or an economic constraint, this model can nevertheless be a lever for inclusion and social transformation. Through an approach optimistic and grounded in reality, Matthieu wants to go and meet those who are reinventing travel: local initiatives, concrete solutions and viable alternatives to ecological challenges.

Its aim is to Deconstructing the cliches and to question the possibilities of fairer, more responsible, but also more desirable tourism. This residence represents for him an opportunity for learning and exchange, a laboratory where different visions of sustainable tourism will be able to confront each other and dialogue.

By mixing investigation and human story, Matthieu wants to deliver a documentary that sheds light The changes in travel and its contemporary challenges, giving keys to rethink the way we explore the world.
