Clara Yvard

Clara Yvard is the director of the successful documentary series ‘From Roubaix to Detroit’, broadcast on France Télévisions. The series features the intersecting portraits of eight activist artists involved in revitalising the priority neighbourhoods of Roubaix and Detroit. Clara has won support from the ‘Brouillon d'un rêve’ and ‘Émergences’ programmes, as well as writing and development grants from Pictanovo, and has captivated her audience with this innovative project.

As well as directing, Clara is also in charge of cultural projects and is involved in a number of popular education associations.

Clara will produce the making of the residency to write and shoot the documentary film about whales by following the participants throughout the process. It will capture key moments from the residency, from writing sessions to outdoor filming, highlighting the challenges and successes of the artists. Thanks to her expertise in documentary filmmaking, Clara will give life behind the scenes of this ecological and artistic project, highlighting the commitment of authors and directors to the protection of whales in the Mediterranean. The making of will be a complementary work to the residency, enriching the experience for the public.
